Rectus femoris- Extends the knee- Straight head from anterior inferior iliac spine
- Reflected head from groove just above acetabulum
- Base of Patella (then joins Patella ligament to attach in tibial tuberosity)- Muscular branches of femoral nerve: L2, L3, L4- Lateral circumflex femoral artery
Vastus intermedius- Extends the knee- Superior half of anterior and Lateral surfaces of femur- Lateral border of Patella (then joins Patella ligament to attach in tibial tuberosity)- Muscular branches of femoral nerve: L2,L3, L4- Lateral circumflex femoral artery
Vastus medialis- Extends the knee- Superior half of anterior and medial surfaces of femur- Medial border and Base of Patella (then joins Patella ligament to attach in tibial tuberosity)- Muscular branches of femoral nerve: L2,L3, L4- Femoral artery
- Superior medial genicular branch of popliteal artery
Vastus lateralis- Extends the knee- Superior half of anterior and Lateral surfaces of femur- Lateral border and Base of Patella (then joins Patella ligament to attach in tibial tuberosity)- Muscular branches of femoral nerve: L2,L3, L4- Lateral circumflex femoral artery
Sartorius- Flexion of hip
- Lateral rotation of hip
- Flexion of the knee
- Anterior Superior iliac spine- Supero-medial tibia- Femoral nerve: L2, L3, L4- Femoral artery
